Women’s Prayer Morning Tea

International Women’s Day has been observed on March 8 for more than 100 years. The purpose of this global day is to celebrate the achievements of women and to promote gender equality. This year’s theme is “Be Bold for Change”. Many beneficial changes have occurred as a result of this movement, yet millions of women and girls in the world still suffer from gender based violence and injustice.

Such partiality is not of God. He welcomes extravagantly all who come to him through faith in Jesus. His good gifts are given irrespective of gender. He is a God of peace and justice.

Let’s not forget that the violence and injustice we see in the world are shadowed expressions of God’s unseen enemy, that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan. The devil wants to distract us from knowing, experiencing and sharing God’s amazing love and will do whatever he can to discourage and deceive us. He includes gender specific strategies amongst his tactics.

Empowerment for women to stand against the devil’s schemes comes from God alone.

God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare.
Ephesians 6:17-18 MSG

Trinity Hills Women, let’s meet together for morning tea and “be bold for change” by praying for women!
