Trinity can only continue to proclaim the gospel through the financial support of its members and supporters. The Bible encourages all Christians to give generously to support their church’s ministry:
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
Your generous support has enabled us to carry out exciting ministries you see going on. So let me encourage you to give.
- Give joyfully – because God is worthy of our praise.
- Give Generously – because God has been generous with you.
- Give sacrificially – because the mission is before us and the time is now.
Financial partnership is a wonderful way to invest in the spread of the gospel. Giving is of course the foundation to the Christian life. If it was not for God giving us his Son; for Jesus giving up his life; and then the giving of his Spirit, we would not understand giving as God intends. Our giving is always a response: to the grace of giving God has made toward us. So giving will be about how we use our time, our energy, our ability, our gifts, and our resources, for the sake of the kingdom.
