We’re Glad You’re Here

Whether you have just moved in to the area, or you have decided it is time to explore Jesus for yourself, we would love to get to know you.

There are many reasons people walk through our doors – but it is rarely to talk about the weather

If you have experienced grief or loss, are wrestling with big questions, looking for a real community, or have a feeling that God is prompting you to walk in the door, we’d love to chat more – visit us on Sunday and book in a time to chat with one of our Ministry Team.

Just moved?

Let us help you settle in

If you have just moved to the area and are looking to get your bearings and find a local church, then our community welcoming teams can give you the local knowledge and help you to find a place in our community and the community of the Adelaide Hills.

Join us at one of our Gatherings

Each one is a bit different, but they’re both part of Trinity Church Aldgate.

10am Sundays & 5pm Sundays

Whether you are looking for a church to join, or just visiting, you are welcome to join us at 10am or 5pm on Sundays.

We meet in the Aldgate Memorial Hall, which is located near the corner of Kingsland and Fenchurch Roads. There is a car park next to the hall, with access from Kingsland Road, as well as street parking along Fenchurch Road and other side streets. The walkway access to the hall from Fenchurch Road is quite steep, so it’s best to use the car park if you have mobility issues.

FAQs

What time should I arrive?

Each gathering tries to start on time, so being a few minutes early is a good idea, especially if you want to get familiar with the surroundings, or maybe meet a few people. That said, don’t panic if you are running late (a lot of us do) and the welcomers stay out the front to greet people well after the start.

When you get Church, you’ll be greeted by one of our welcomers, let them know that you’re new and they will be happy to help you from there!

When Christians gather together, they talk about Christ, Jesus Christ. At all Trinity Church Algate gatherings, someone will read the Bible out loud and someone else will usually give a talk about what the Bible said (this is sometimes called a sermon). There will also be prayers (this is simply talking to God; thanking him for things and asking him for what we need) and songs (everyone sings these together; praising God and reminding us of all the good things he has done). All of this is normally done in about an hour.

After the gathering, there is usually some tea or coffee, and most people hang around chatting for about half an hour. Feel free to stay as long as you like or leave when you must.
